2017 Walktable. Work table for about the relationship between critical thought and contemporary art.

What ever happened to intellectuals? This is the question which are trying to answer the participants in a working table opened on September 14th, 2017. Walktable is a working table about the relationship between critical thinking and contemporary art which researchers who are dealing with the problem at various levels take part in. Contributions by philosophers and sociologists alternate with recollections by gallerists and collectors, interventions by artists, narrators, critics and art historians. The project came into being thanks to an exchange of ideas between Aurelio Andrighetto, Ermanno Cristini and Chiara Pergola about the disappearance of intellectuals, who have been substituted by commentators and showmen, more recently by bloggers and cultural mediators.

Che fine ha fatto l'intellettuale? Questa è la domanda che si pongono i partecipanti a un tavolo di lavoro inaugurato il 14 settembre 2017. Walktable è un tavolo di lavoro sul rapporto tra pensiero critico e arte contemporanea, al quale partecipano ricercatori che a vario titolo si occupano del problema. Contributi di filosofi e sociologi si alternano a testimonianze di galleristi e collezionisti, interventi di artisti, narratori, critici, curatori e storici dell'arte. Il progetto nasce da uno scambio d'idee tra Aurelio Andrighetto, Ermanno Cristini e Chiara Pergola sulla scomparsa della figura dell'intellettuale, sostituito dall'opinionista e dallo showman, in tempi più recenti dal blogger e dal mediatore culturale.
